After being unveiled at Computex 2026 in Taiwan from June 2 to June 5, the Nightsword v2 Wireless SD was introduced by Corsair in Vietnam. The product box includes the mouse, a SlipStream wireless receiver, an extender for the receiver, a 1.8-meter USB-C braided cable, and a user manual. Corsair has removed the weight adjustment weights that were included in the previous Nightsword RGB generation, thereby reducing the overall weight and making it more suitable for wireless connectivity.

The new mouse belongs to the Nightsword series, but compared to the bulky design of the previous Nightsword RGB model, the v2 Wireless SD features a more streamlined design, appealing to a wider range of users.

A highlight of the new mouse is the Virtual Stream Deck activation button, easily identifiable on the left side of the body, allowing users to access quickly with their thumb.

The Stream Deck, developed by Corsair’s subsidiary Elgato, consists of individual buttons assigned to specific functions for quick activation, eliminating the need for multiple access steps. This feature is suitable for streamers switching scenes during live streams, graphic designers assigning function keys for specific apps, or gamers needing quick access to specific functions. Meanwhile, the Elgato Virtual Stream Deck is software that simulates Stream Deck buttons on a mouse or keyboard when dedicated devices are not available.

The Stream Deck button is positioned next to the thumb, enabling quick access to the Virtual Stream Deck interface on the screen. The mouse has nine buttons, with eight of them customizable through macros. The setup process is done through a web platform instead of the iCue software used previously. Users can activate macros for each button, such as controlling music, launching applications, quickly switching apps, or executing pre-set command sequences. Notably, the feature provides extensive support for gamers. While in a game, they can assign buttons for quick access to items like backpacks, switching items, or opening the map.

The mechanism on the Corsair mouse also offers a different usage experience compared to traditional macro-supporting mice and customizable software like Logitech G502 X Lightspeed, SteelSeries Aerox 5 Wireless, or Razer Basilisk V3 Pro. Instead of merely being a control device, the mouse can serve as a tool for managing tasks and digital content.

Real-world experience shows that the initial setup is not intuitive and does not support the Vietnamese language. However, once the buttons are successfully configured, the efficiency of completing tasks and gaming is significantly improved, with features almost instantaneously activated upon pressing the button, saving time compared to traditional methods.

The Nightsword V2 Wireless SD continues to maintain the ergonomic design found in the Nightsword RGB but eliminates the adjustable weight system, reducing the weight to 89 grams from 110 grams in its predecessor. This design indicates that Corsair is targeting users in the MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) and MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) gaming communities, streamers, and those who frequently use many function keys rather than competitive FPS gamers.

Although prioritizing gamers, the product does not have many areas for RGB LED placement, apart from the tail, logo, and scroll wheel. The color effects can be adjusted via the website.

Underneath is a switch to control Bluetooth 5.2 mode or through the SlipStream Wireless 2.4 GHz dongle, alongside a third connection option via USB-C at the front. Corsair equips the Nightsword V2 Wireless SD with the Marksman S sensor, featuring a maximum resolution of 33,000 DPI, a tracking speed of 750 IPS, and 50G acceleration, supporting a polling rate of up to 8,000 Hz in both wired and wireless modes, along with optical switches rated for 100 million clicks. These specifications are typically found only in a few high-end mice in 2026.

With multiple connection options, users can switch between a desktop and laptop without needing to change the control device. According to Corsair, the mouse’s battery life can last up to 170 hours (about a week) at a polling rate of 1,000 Hz with the RGB lighting system turned off—ranking it among the higher end of the wireless mouse market with built-in batteries, although it does not match models using removable AA or AAA batteries that can last several weeks to months.

Priced at 3.69 million VND, the Nightsword V2 Wireless SD competes with some Logitech models such as the Pro X2 Superstrike Lightspeed (4.5 million VND) or G502 X Plus Lightspeed (3.5 million VND) and is higher than most other wireless gaming mice. Corsair does not compete with ultra-light designs or the number of buttons; instead, it takes a different approach by integrating the Stream Deck from a standalone device into the mouse, targeting users who frequently game, livestream, manage content, or work with multiple software applications simultaneously.

In addition to the Nightsword V2 Wireless SD, Corsair also launched the Clipper Pro Mini 60 Hall Effect mechanical keyboard priced at 2.79 million VND. This product is aimed at eSports players and FPS gamers who need high response speeds in a compact design.

The keyboard uses MGX Hyperdrive Core Hall Effect magnetic switches, allowing key actuation point adjustments from 0.2 to 3.8 mm; the Multi Action function assigns up to four separate actions to a single key depending on the keystroke; it supports Rapid Trigger, which allows the key to register the next command immediately after releasing without waiting for the key to return to its original position; and customizable features such as Smart Tap for assigning separate actions or FlashTap SOCD to control how input signals are processed.

Corsair equips the keyboard with an 8,000 Hz polling rate, which helps reduce input latency, adds an IP57 water and dust resistance rating, two layers of sound dampening, and individual RGB lighting for each key. However, the 60% layout design (60 keys, without dedicated arrow keys and requiring key combinations) may not appeal to all users.
